Jesus of Nazareth Study Guides

As part of our adult Christian Education program, we are currently watching and discussing the six hour series titled, Jesus of Nazareth, by writer/director Franco Zeffirelli. The series, produced in 1977, follows the life of Jesus from birth to resurrection, by blending the four gospels seamlessly. We will be using the film as a starting point for our New Testament bible study and discussion. The study guides can be found in the links below. The series should be watched with your study guide and bible in hand, to get the most out of it.

Although Zeffirelli left out tons of teaching and miracles, his is one of the best representation of the gospels available. If you want to do further study, Pastor Clancy recommends Four Portraits, One Jesus, by Mark L. Strauss. Its treatment of the gospels is academic but accessible. For a more devotional approach, she recommends Who is this Man?, by John Ortberg.
