Lazarus House Dinner Service...

Lazarus House is an emergency shelter and center for transitional living in St. Charles, Illinois, serving residents or the tri-city area.  They offer guests who are homeless or in need hope for the future by providing hospitality, food, safe shelter and education — tools for life.  They rely on the community for all of their meals, including donations from local grocery stores, as well as local churches and other organizations.

Our congregation provides dinner for the guests of Lazarus House on fifth Saturday of every month that has five Saturdays (usually about four times a year).  We provide a main dish, one or two side dishes, fruit, juice and milk.  This year we are serving on Saturday, March 30th; Saturday, June 29th; Saturday, August 31st; and Saturday, November 30th.  Food or monetary donations should be dropped off at the church, or at Kim Valentines home, by 6:00 pm on the night of the dinner service.   If you are interested in participating in our dinner service, please contact the church office (geneva-ucc@sbcglobal.net).
